As part of the "New Recovery Policy", a general plan is being developed to create a new settlement area with 150 thousand residents in Tuv Aimag and Khushig Valley to decentralize and expand the city and establish satellite cities.
Construction is scheduled to begin this spring. In the first phase, plans for the establishment of the Government Complex, the Free Economic Zone and the construction of 600 housing units for the MCAA have been completed. In this regard, the relevant capital authorities, led by the Prime Minister, checked the design and location of the project yesterday (February 19, 2022). For example, next to the housing of the CAA staff, a town with a capacity of 150 children, green facilities, and a parking lot will emerge.
The Prime Minister criticized the acquisition of a large amount of land by citizens and businesses near the new airport located in Sergelen Sum area of the Central Province and Khushig Valley.
L. Oyun-Erdene said, "How could the citizens have known and accepted the government's decision before it was enforced? This is a problem related to pure corruption."
Subsequently, Deputy Prime Minister S. Amarsaikhan was tasked to investigate this issue. At the same time, the Governor of Sergelen sum of the Tuv Aimag was held responsible and the relevant officials were ordered not to allocate new land here.
It is planned to build housing estates, hospitals, schools, campuses, and service centers in the Tuv Aimag and Khushig Valley in the model of South Korea, Kazakhstan, and Singapore.
