As part of the goal of reducing traffic congestion and decentralization in the capital Ulaanbaatar city, a working group responsible for studying the construction of highways, bridges and bridge structures with tunnels from the point of Khurkhree on Bogdhan mountain to the point of Nomt and providing unified management and coordination by order of the Prime Minister established with the relevant ministers. The working group will be chaired by Minister and Chairman of the National Committee on Traffic Congestion in Ulaanbaatar City, B. Delgersaikhan, and some government ministers will serve as members. The Secretary will be the Governor of the Capital and the Mayor of Ulaanbaatar.
The Prime Minister instructed the head of the working group to present the progress and results of the implementation of the order to the Cabinet meeting every 14 days. A preliminary survey of the road with a 15.3 km tunnel from Khurkhree point of Bogdhan mountain to Nomt point is being conducted.
